GEMGroup is a multidimensional service company founded in 1932. For the last sixty years, GEMGroup has specialized in providing of administrative services to large- and medium-sized benefit plans. GEMGroup has become a recognized leader in a highly demanding and specialized industry.

Today, GEMGroup serves over two hundred client benefit plans through our five offices located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Atlanta, Georgia; Oxon Hill, Maryland; Claymont, Delaware; and Towson, Maryland. Each office is fully staffed and equipped to handle a multitude of benefit plan client services.

GEMGroup presently employs approximately one hundred and thirty employees, all exclusively devoted to providing quality administrative services to our benefit plan clients. On a daily basis, our organization has the direct responsibility of administering benefits covering records for over 700,000 participants and dependents for plans encompassing over four billion dollars in combined assets.

Experienced Computer Staff:
GEMGroup maintains a full-time computer staff. Each of our programmers has 10 to 25 years of Oracle programming experience, and up to 25 years of experience working in the benefits administration industry.
Experienced Business Staff:
We have been providing administrative services for over 55 years. Our employees bring these many years of experience and expertise to the administration of our client benefit plans.
Technology and System Capabilities:

We have three new, state-of-the-art processing systems:

  • A fully automated medical claim processing system with internet access
  • A full service 401(k)/participant directed record keeping system (including Voice Response Unit, internet access, and unlimited investment option array)
  • A fully automated administrative software package (Emerald-Trac) that includes internet access.
